Their jewel in the crown was however Rome: Total War, following the spread of their legendary Empire, and the subsequent Barbarian Invasion and Alexander expansion packs. The series continued on with a high-anticipated remake, in Medieval 2: Total War, and lastly unto the modern era with Empire: Total War in 2009, and Napoleon: Total War in 2010.

Proof was sustained when a Turkish gaming website announced that it had booked a press release at E3 with SEGA for the announcing of the new game, and in the booking, it was named to be Shogun 2: Total War.
Any RTS fan will be dying to get to get a hold of this new title. The franchise is known as an RTS/Turn-based Strategy hybrid, best at recreating realistic historic battles and campaigns both on land and offshore; the objectives of the game are to manage your particular country from the perspective of technological advancement, economy, construction and public order, and building armies to defend your territory, and if possible, to expand and conquer, relying on the best tactical use of a particular unit, rather than basing on the total number of units you can get on the battlefield.
