The DOTA counterpart Heroes of Newerth finally went retail on Tuesday 12th May after a year long succesful beta run which went from closed to open in a few months. S2 Games, the creators of Heroes of Newerth, have announced that they will continue updating the game as they have during the beta phase. They are to introduce more heroes to the game(a overall of 90 heroes are expected to be in the game) as well as more items and giving players the opportunity to design new heroes for the game using a new program called DREAM.

 

The game is a one time fee of $30 and there are no recurring monthly payments, even though there are various new features which are awaiting implementation. Heroes of Newerth has already received a lot of acclaim and will certainly continue on this path with the announcement of a World Cup which is expected to host more than 100 teams from different countries in the World with a 1st place prize of $40000. It has certainly made a huge impact on the gaming world. For those of you who have already bought the game, continue of the fields of Caldavar while those who have yet to join the fight should get the game since it is a very awesome one which you will not regret buying!
