eDimensional AudioFX Force Feedback
A few days back I reviewed the Ulti-Mat Original mouse mat but now it-s time to move to a headset which indeed is as good as you think it is! Thanks to Hackers for giving us an eDimensional AudioFX Force Feedback which is the younger brother of the eDimensional AudioFX 5.1 reviewed here. Although it-s cheaper, it still performs as good as it should whether you-re using it for movies, music or gaming. This is the package:
|
| Design: As for the design, it has 3 Levels of LEDs which lights up with the vibration/volume level. The LEDs are Green, Orange and RED so when your mum calls you and she comes next to you, she-ll know why you didn-t answer. The red zones are practically difficult to get to since its sort of exceeding a Max limit. The microphone is flexible for more comfort and the color of the overall headset is just nice. No flashy colors but a modern Silver and Black.

| My Experience: As you can see there isn-t a Driver CD because you don-t need one. Just plug it in and play! Although it is a Stereo Headset not a surround, it still has the great features of the mighty AudioFX 5.1. It has Vibration which is REALLY loud and hurts your ears if you turn everything at max for a long period of time (like I did). The sound quality is amazing and the Bass is just incredible! Testing it with CoD2, CoD4, CoD5, Farcry 2, Crysis and Crysis Warhead was just like watching a movie in a Cinema! Let-s not forget the Microphone, it-s good and doesn-t catch noises like fans, people talking a few meters away, your dog barking etc. I really wasn-t expecting anything as good as this when I asked Mauro (Hackers- Cafe owner) to lend them to me for a review. You only have 2 Audio Jacks and a USB for vibration so you won-t have a cable mess behind your computer. Onboard the wire is a Volume Control, a Vibration Control and a Vibration On/Off switch in case you can-t handle the noise or the superb Vibration.

| Conclusion: I have to say that this was a sturdy headset with an incredible overall performance. I tested this with an onboard Realtek ALC850 7.1 which was THIS good. Imagine if you have an X-FI or a Barracuda or any of the good and expensive sound cards! I personally had issues with vibration delay etc on Vista but that might be because there isn-t an official, proper driver for my sound for Vista. Using XP gave me no problems at all and has an impeccable sound which makes you addictive to it and won-t let you get it out of your head. Pros:
