Ulti-Mat Solid X3 Mouse mat
Last time I reviewed the Ulti-mat Original mouse mat but today I-ll check another solid mouse mat which is the Ulti-mat Solid X3. No, it is not made of metal but it is in fact solid. The meaning of solid is that it has a rough surface like plastic or metal but not cloth. Once again the smoothness of the mat surface is very good and friction-less though it-s not the most friction-less mouse mat I-ve ever seen. I personally found the Original more smooth although it-s more pricey. If you have a tight budget but you want a good mouse mat, this is the one to go for. Here are some pictures of the package:

| Design: I-ll start with the measurements since it-s about 380mm x 320mm x 2mm which is fairly big considering most of us use only about 15cm2 of the whole mouse mat. The top of the mat is plastic coated for accuracy and flexibility. Yes, this mouse mat is very flexible for a sold mouse mat. At the bottom there is "Natural Rubber" which eliminates any movement from the mouse mat.

| My Experience: As you can clearly see, this mouse mat is HUGE (there is one bigger ) in fact it barley fitted on my desk (had to move some stuff like the monitor) but it is that big for a valid reason. Not everyone likes to set the mouse at maximum speed so they made it big to suite all gamers. I tested this mat with the Razer DeathAdder, Diamondback, Krait and a common Wireless Optical Mouse. Games played were CoD2, CoD4, CoD5, Crysis, Crysis Warhead and FarCry 2. No trouble what so ever in any game except the issue I had last time with my Razer Krait. It may be because of shiny and solid surfaces but DEFINITELY not from the mouse mat. This can easily be solved by using a Cloth mat.
